Combat / Targeting
From the main menu, select System and open the Character Configuration menu, then select the UI Settings tab from the column on the left. Under HUD, there is an option to display your target's remaining HP as a percentage.
At later levels, this option can prove especially helpful when battling bosses whose attack patterns can sometimes be determined by their remaining HP.
* This setting applies to both the target bar and focus target bar.
With this setting enabled, you can set a boss as your focus target to more effectively monitor its HP while dealing with additional enemies should they appear on the field.
