  Beginning Tuesday, 28 April, with the release of Patch 7.5, the free trial will also include the award-winning FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers. Spread the word and tell your friends, because there’s never been a better time to begin their adventure!

  We are proud to present the patch notes for Trail to the Heavens, which sees the Warrior of Light and their companions begin to unravel the mysteries of the key.
  
  This patch also features the new trial, the Unmaking, Echoes of Vana'diel - Windurst: The Third Walk, a brand-new crystal conflict arena, Archeia Harmonias, and a host of other additions and adjustments, including an increase to furnishing placement limits, the consolidation of dyes, updates to the armoire and outfit glamours, as well as updates to group pose.
  
  * Additional features will be implemented in future updates:
  Auxesia─the new cosmic exploration destination, Tool Enhancement Quests - Cosmic Tools, the new custom deliveries client Tiisol Ja, and Dancing Mad (Ultimate) are scheduled to release in Patch 7.51.
  The Occult Crescent: North Horn, Weapon Enhancement Quests - Phantom Weapons, Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures sidequests, and Allied Society capstone sidequests are scheduled to release in Patch 7.55.
  Further main scenario quests and the beastmaster limited job are scheduled to release in Patch 7.56.

  FINAL FANTASY XIV will make its debut on the Nintendo Switch™ 2 in August 2026!
  

  • Those playing FINAL FANTASY XIV for the first time on Nintendo Switch 2
    Purchase FINAL FANTASY XIV for Nintendo Switch 2 and a subscription to play the game.

  • Current FINAL FANTASY XIV players who wish to play on Nintendo Switch 2
    If you already play FINAL FANTASY XIV on another platform, you will still need to purchase FINAL FANTASY XIV for Nintendo Switch 2 and a separate subscription for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game. However, if you have remaining game time on other platforms, the Nintendo Switch 2 subscription will be available at half price.

  There will be an initial one-month period of early access to ensure server stability, after which official service will start. A subscription to Nintendo Switch Online will not be required to play FINAL FANTASY XIV on Nintendo Switch 2 in either the early access period or during official service.

• FINAL FANTASY XIV x EVANGELION Crossover Announced!

  EVANGELION is coming to FINAL FANTASY XIV!
  
  The crossover series, titled “Ghosts of Desire,” will serve as the alliance raid of the upcoming expansion, Evercold. Further details will be announced at a later date.
  

  About EVANGELION

  The television series NEON GENESIS EVANGELION became an immediate and widespread sensation upon its first broadcast in 1995.
  
  In 2007, the series was relaunched as the Rebuild of EVANGELION film series. Conceived, written and directed by Hideaki Anno, EVANGELION: 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 were all hugely successful, captivating new fans and garnering much praise from a wide range of audiences.
  
  The fourth and final film in the series, EVANGELION: 3.0 + 1.0, was released on 8 March 2021, after having been postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It recorded 6.73 million admissions, earning 10.2 billion yen at the box office.
  
  On 8 March 2023, the long-awaited Blu-ray and DVD, EVANGELION: 3.0 + 1.11 THRICE UPON A TIME was released.
  
  October 2025 marked 30 years since the television series debuted, and a celebratory event titled EVANGELION: 30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION was held in Yokohama Arena between 21 and 23 February 2026. Though such an anniversary event was a first for the series, it proved to be a resounding success, attracting a great many visitors from Japan and around the world.

  Fan Festival 2026 in Anaheim is nearly here!

  For those looking to take their viewing experience to the next level, we will be hosting a piano performance and PRIMALS concert, both available as paid streams via StreamPass and FanStream. You won’t want to miss this chance to rock out with Warriors of Light the world over in the comfort of your own home!

  But if you happen to be too busy to watch live, a ticket purchase also grants access to the archive where the streams can be viewed as many times as you like for a set period. Whether you’re at home or on the go, you can enjoy these two amazing concerts at your leisure.
