I've tried this quest at least 10 times as lvl 40 smn, failed every time. any advice?

I received advice that helped me with this quest as a black mage with no healing. It was to attack first anything attacking you , second anyone attacking allies , using sleep on the enemy's that suddenly appear , helped amazingly since all the allies could focus on a single thing at a time , and lastly focus on attacking the wayvern first. I suck at tactics , so this advice from my FC helped me and after my second attempt this way I finally finished the duty. Also to keep your armor up with your level.

Try to pull as much aggro as you can. The healer will keep you alive. Keeling all the party members alive is definitely key in this quest

I am having a rough time with this quest as 40 BRD. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

your allied NPC's will die fast, I say try and keep your healer NPC alive as long as possible. Healing will be a must for you.

This quest isn't the easiest when playing either Thaumaturge or Conjurer. The best advise would be keep moving and do what you can such as healing the NPC characters. Let then do the donkey work.
