This post is a summary of previous ones + info about a potential bug.

Required conditions: Truth of the Oceans & Fathom active.

Location: Yanxia, 3 x teeming waters level 70 dispatched around X10 / Y34.5 (around the map big red arrow).

Method: Rotate over the 3 holes until you get 7 Ichtyosaurs (big size, max speed).
You then get a notification that a new hole did pop up to the east (highlighted with stars, like special miner/botanist nodes). Head to that hole and start fishing. The dafangshi is the medium fast shadow. There are more than enough to get 3.

Potential Bug: If the special hole doesn't pop up after you got 7 ichtyosaurs, it's a known bug. No need to bother fishing more of them. Leave the place, exit water, relog. Upon returning, this will work.
Side note: I recommend to empty your inventory of the ichtyosaurs you caught on first try before to return for the 2nd try, just to be on the safe side.

Make sure: (Glittering Basin Coords around: 11.6, 38.2)
1. 'Truth of Oceans' skill Activated
2. 'Fathom' skill is Activated
3. Dive under water at Coords above
4. Make sure you're on your mount (quicker to move around obviously), then activate 'Shark Eye II' skill
5. Go to spot
6. Dismount
7. Make sure 'Gig' skill is on your toolbar to spear them
8. Activate spot, and use 'Gig' to Spear Fish. This is a "Mini-game".
9. Repeat this around 10x until special spot appears where you can spear 'Dafangshi'

You have to spear a total of 7 fast moving Ichthyosaur from the Teeming Waters before something called Swimming Shadows will spawn. Then, from those SS, you will be able to spear the darn Dafangshi fishies for the quest.

Activate your Salvage and Truth of Oceans ability x 2. Then, what you are looking for underwater is something shiny called Teeming Waters. They will appear on your map too as a shinning fish icon. If you don't see one, use your Shark Eye ability to find out the direction of one. Go and once you click on a TW, a separate blue window will appear. Then, click on Nature's Bounty buff button and use your Gig button to activate the spear to start spearfishing. Good luck:)

You will need to spearfish for this quest. Go to the Mercantile Docks (X:31.7 Y: 22.5) and use Truth of Ocean ability while diving. Then go to that location and spearfish! Have fun fishing!! \ o /

You'll want to go spearfishing around 11.0 34.0
Keep spearing the fish from t he quest-text until a new rare spear-fishing node appears. Then go for that one and catch these dafangshis
