Because I'm quite lazy and only interested in some games at GS, so I hope these tips will help you guys.

1. Always finish weekly Challenge Log of Gold Saucer as many as you can to get bonus MGP

2. As a beginner, you can exchange duplicated cards dropped from bosses in trials/dungeons/raids for MGP.
Or you can simply buy Mini Cactpot 3 times per day, and 3 Jumpo Cactpot tickets per week (make sure to collect them on time).
Or go to Chocobo Square at GS and register a new chocobo and race. Some tips will be given in details below.

3. If you're 1st Lieutenant in your grand company, and your squadron is all lv50, send them to collect MGP VIP cards (increase MGP earned 20%), you will get 5 VIP cards per week, and each VIP card lasts for 2 hours.


Here's some tips of games I normally do for finishing Challenge Log:

1. Out of a Limb: a mini game near Chocobo Square aether. Simply pick up your hatchet and chop. Should chop the Cactuar to choose slowest speed (Titan and Morbol are insanely fast, you can't win much). After that, you need to press the button to find a right location of treasure. The needle will run into a cone, so just chop in different areas. If it senses something nearby, keep chopping near that marked blue needle until you got the treasure. After you get it, you can double the prize by continue on chopping or just leave to get prize. You only have 1 minute in total to chop them, so I recommend you to get 100MGP-400MGP prize and stop, don't overdo it. If you run out of time and still didn't find the treasure, you lose all MGP you have earned.

2. Triple Triad Card:
This one is near the center aether and near Mini Cactpot place, easy to find, follow blue path.

If you used to play FF8, nothing much to guide you about the rules. But there's some tips here:

_ You should buy a pack of cheap cards to get at least 60 cards in your collection, so they will allow you to have 4 cards with 3 stars + 1 card with 5 stars. If the cards in that pack are duplicated, exchange the cards to MGP

_ You should prepare at least 3 decks for all card rules:

+ Normal deck (for playing Sudden Death, Chaos, Plus, Ace, Combo...): just choose strongest cards with good defense on each directions (left, right, up, down). Remember, you can only get 4 cards (3 stars) + 1 card (5 stars)

+ Ascension deck (Ascension rule): choose all elemental cards because in each move, the numbers on those cards will increase by 1. I recommended you to choose Red mark elemental on top right of that cards. Eg: my deck is: Sophia, Alexander, Titan, Ifrit, Garuda. All of them have red mark on top corner. And best thing is even they're on your hand or on deck, the numbers will keep increase, not like those with blue or yellow marks.

+ Reversed deck (Reversed rule): Choose all weak cards, because low numbers will win higher numbers. Easy to pick them, no need to tell more, lol.


3. Chocobo Racing:

About racing, it's easy. Go to Chocobo Square, register one chocobo, finish tutorial, then choose R1-40 to race (R = rating, you can check your chocobo rating in Menu/Character tab/Gold Saucer). Your chocobo might have active or passive skills, but they can only has 2 skills in total. Use them wisely on race.

About Status: Stamina = Endurance > Acceleration = Max Speed > Cunning


$$$The hard part is to breed GOOD chocobo, I can give you some tips:

1. Rank up your 1st chocobo to rank 40.

2. Retire it, keep the skill you need, you will get Retired Chocobo Registration Form. You can breed 10 times with it.

3. Go to the guy near Chocobo counter and buy a Covering Permission G1 - M1/F1 (G = Pregidee level/Generation, F = female, M = male). If your chocobo is female one, buy G1 - M1

4. Teleport to Central Shroud, talk to Feathertrader npc. You will see a window split in half, one is for your retired chocobo, one is for hired breeding chocobo.

Here's the trick: try on Covering Permission you bought, if the hired breeding chocobo has bad skill, get rid off that Covering Permission and go back to GS to buy a new one, then try again until you get good one.

**Note: the breeding window will show you the status of 4 parents of 2 chocobo, not the status of those 2 chocobo, which means for each status, you will have 25% to get one of them.
Eg: for Endurance status of those 2 chocobo
_Retired Chocobo: dad 3 stars x mom 1 star
_Covering Permission (hired breeding one): dad 2 stars x mom 4 stars
It means if you breed them together, your new baby chocobo has 25% to get 1 star in Endurance, but also 25% to get 4 stars in Endurance too, it's mere luck.

What if you breed them and your baby chocobo really gets 1 star in Endurance?

Easy, go back to Gold Saucer, retire that rank 1 new chocobo, it will become a property of GS and buy new Covering Permission to breed again. Who said you can't get rid of bad chocobo at rank 1? lol

So far, only Chocobo Reraise III made me feel overpower. It's a passive skill and can instantly auto increase 200 Stamina when your Sta drops to 0. It means even you got hit by Meteor, swapped Sta, drained Sta, your Stamina will increase by 5-20% (depends on your rating, higher rating will have lower % recovered because your Sta bar is longer).
Chobobo Drain III is 2nd choice, It can drain Stamina of all people near you.

And to win a race, you need to get lucky items from chests on road. Chocobo Aether, Chocobo Shoes, Chocobo potion... all blue + yellow + rainbow buffs are all good. My favorite race is Sagolii Desert, fast and easier than others.
