The user interface, or UI for short, refers to the various on-screen elements and menus through which a player interacts with the game. The UI in FFXIV can be adjusted in myriad ways to ensure an enjoyable gaming experience.

Party / Party
To sort the party list, select the Sort Party List button in the Party Members window under Party in the main menu.
The party list is sorted according to the Party List Sorting setting in the Character Configuration menu. By default, it is sorted in order of Tank, Healer, and DPS.
The Party List Sorting setting can be accessed by selecting the gear icon button at the bottom right of the party members window, or by opening the Party List tab under UI Settings in the Character Configuration menu, accessed via System in the main menu.
Furthermore, the "Role Sort Settings" button allows you to customize how classes and jobs are sorted within each role in your party list.
Customize the party list order so that you can access your party members more quickly to perform actions on them!
* The Sort Party List button is available only when you are in a party of 3 or more.
