The user interface, or UI for short, refers to the various on-screen elements and menus through which a player interacts with the game. The UI in FFXIV can be adjusted in myriad ways to ensure an enjoyable gaming experience.

Customizing Outfits / Glamours
To cast a glamour, use Cast Glamour from Actions & Traits or right-click an item to open its subcommands, then select Cast Glamour. Alternatively, you can access a glamour dresser in an inn room.
To cast a glamour, use Cast Glamour from Actions & Traits or highlight an item, press X (□ on PS5™/PS4™, X on Xbox Series X|S) to open its subcommands, then select Cast Glamour. Alternatively, you can access a glamour dresser in an inn room.
This action is under the General tab.
If you want easier access to this action, it can also be set to a hotbar.
First, choose the base item, then select the glamour you wish to cast from the list of available items.
* The list of available items only appears once you select the base item.
To select unequipped items:
Use the pulldown menu to access the desired item type.
A glamour prism is required each time you cast a glamour.
* Using a glamour binds the item to you.
The glamour has now been cast.
* A cross icon indicates that a glamour has been cast.
* If you use a dyed item to cast a glamour, the cross icon will be displayed in that color.
