The user interface, or UI for short, refers to the various on-screen elements and menus through which a player interacts with the game. The UI in FFXIV can be adjusted in myriad ways to ensure an enjoyable gaming experience.

Gear and Inventory / Character
From the main menu, select Character, open the Character menu, and then select the "Manually adjust visor (select gear only)" button. Toggling this function will adjust the appearance of certain headgear to reveal your character's face.
This setting can also be toggled using the /visor text command.
* The above functionality is applicable to select gear only.
* The corresponding user interface differs slightly for Viera characters.
