Using Chat

All chat modes use the same chat interface.

Sending a chat message

Select a chat mode

Selecting the chat icon to the left of the chat message entry field allows you to change modes.

* Some modes are only available if your character has unlocked the related features or is a member of the corresponding groups.
* The name of the currently selected chat mode will be displayed above the text entry field.

Press Enter or click the text entry field

The method for entering text differs depending on whether Enable Direct Chat is set to Off or On.

Enable Direct Chat Off
Pressing Enter or clicking on the message entry field will enable text entry.

Enable Direct Chat On
Typing a message will automatically cause text to appear in the entry field.

Send your message

Once you have finished typing your message, press Enter to send.

* Your message will also be displayed in your own log window.
