We don't need to be on our story class to do that quest: we can put on miner/botanist/fisher and use the sneak ability to travel to location, use the explosive, collect the crystals and return to pick up the reward in full safety.
It's rare enough to be highlighted (usually, if not on story class, it's not working). :D
