I can confirm that Patience II SUCKS
I used Honey Bee as bait and I stood on x: 12.7 y: 11.1 on the bridge rail.
I ONLY used Prize Catch and Hook, you want to watch for (!!) if you get (!) ignore it and re-cast that way you don't lose 'prize catch' buff.
Once you get it, use identical cast and prize catch again. Have some hi-cordial potions and use thaliak's favor. Between that and the waiting time you will most definitely have enough GP to spam this. :)

Nika Roni Lich [Light]

A word of advice: This fish and all the other fish required for this quest line are NOT catchable AT ALL unless you have the quest step that requires them active in your quest log. Unlike the Studium FSH quests, you are not allowed to pre-gather all the required collectable fish for the quest chain in advance.

This also applies to the MIN/BTN quests, the required collectables will never appear for you at any gathering point until you're on the quest step that unlocks them.

Midori Yubari Ultros [Primal]

Maybe I had horrible luck but I spent 30 minutes around 22.8, 12.6 using both honeybee and versatile lure without catching a single Pleco, but then I moved to 23.8, 12.9 with versatile lure and caught all I needed within 10 minutes, and both was during daytime, I'm guessing RNG did not favor me...

In case you forgot, like I did:

Minimum collectability for any reward is 165.
Minimum collectability for maximum reward is 388.

I had to catch a lower collectability pleco > Identical Cast > Prize Catch a few times.

no need for patience whatsoever.
Just prize catch + cast.
Build:
lure: versatile lure
time: dont matter
Bite: !!
There's another !! bite in the hole, so when you catch that just do surface slap+prize catch.
Always avoid !.
If you catch the Yok Huy just use indentical cast+prize catch to go faster.

DO NOT USE PATIENCE, IT IS USELESS!!!!

i got 6 of em at max collectability in around 7 minutes irl (i think it takes between 5 and 10 minutes based on your luck)

So to summarize:
Bite: !! (Strong)
Hookset: Doesn't matter, use normal, don't listen to the tryhards and waste GP/Cordials.
Bait/Lure: Versatile Lure
Weather: Could influence? Caught all 6 in less than 5 minutes during rainy weather.
Time: Started at around 12PM
Fishing Spot: Fields of Gold (X: 22.0, Y: 12.6)

Don't waste time and GP using patience II or anything like that, save it for Identical Cast on your first catch, use Surface Slap if any Sleepers(another !! fish) show up.

Nevermind any other "tip" about using specific hooksets, waiting X amount of seconds or whatever, they're just copes/placebos and don't matter at all for this. Happy fishing! ^^

Tried to use Patience II with no catch at all.

Swap to Versatile and i got maybe 8 in less than 10 minutes (got low quality for some).

Also, worth mention that was during night time.

I personally had a bit more luck nailing down pelcos with a Versatile Lure than Honeybee (so YMMV lure-wise), but the rest of the steps everyone else has mentioned are on point.

Gondar Thunderwrath Hyperion [Primal]

Caught mid-day using same instructions as Yakuta. Honeybee bait. Patience II, slap if you catch sleeper, use powerful hookset. Identical cast if you greab one. Caught all 6 in under 15 min.

Rise Narukami Marilith [Dynamis]

Yakuta's post is correct. I was getting a lot of plattershells, but once it was night I seemed to get the Yok Huy, so it's possible it's a night fish? I didn't note the weather, like a dummy.

Vela Vim Adamantoise [Aether]

Fields of Gold (rice patty)

Versatile Lure, normal cast, normal hook '!!' then identical cast, I got all 6 in less than 10 mins. Note the sleeper fish here is also a ''!!'' slap the water if you hook one to avoid annoyance.
