I make a summary and add my method, that got me Namirato with 7 casts only.

Location: South Shroud, Urth's Gift, around X32 / Y24.

Weather: Thunder or Thunderstorm.

Method: I used two different steps.

Step 1 / Increase AA to 4: Glowworm, Prize Catch activated, Simple cast/hook => Large fish guaranteed, AA +1. Repeat 3 times. This does allow use of Big-game fishing later.

Step 2 / Catch the monsters:
1. Glowworm, Prize Catch activated, Big-game Fishing activated, simple cast/hook => I got a Giant Takitaro on 2nd cast => Fisher's Intuition unlocked.
2. Swap bait to Topwater Frog, Big-game fishing should still be active and re-activate Prize Catch if you can, cast => Namirato should be immediate.

Recommendation: Purchase a bunch of Hi-Cordial if you're afraid to lack GPs. I had 844 GPs and I didn't need the potion, but better be prepared.

Caught one using the exact method described directly beneath me, save the Chum (saved the GP). I was able to get it quickly too, which was surprising.

My catch stats:

550 glow worms spent
2 failed Giant Takitaro
6 successful Giant Takitaro
16 failed Namitaro
1 successful Namitaro
x 33.2 y 23.7
Gathering 3870
Perception 3558
GP 953


Method:
Increase casts per minute with chum every cast
Hook every !! until you get a Boxing Pleco
Surface slap the Boxing Pleco
Ignore everything except !!! Giant Takitaro
Once you catch one, swap to topwater frog
Use cordials on cooldown

You can get three casts for Namitaro in using Chum if you're quick and ignore ! and !! fish during the buff.

Note: as discussed elsewhere, Patience is useless and only affects the length of the caught fish, not the probability of ! vs. !! vs. !!!; use all of your GP on chum to speed up recasting time and surface slap to take one fish out of the mix.

I actually caught when it was Clouds with the Topwater Frog at Urth's Gift. I caught the Giant Takitaro during Thunder and it switched to Clouds while my fisher's intuition was on.
