I would not say it is all that bad. Not the worst. look at the era it was released in, and in comparison to the other movies that were released as well. THEN critique it. i have to disagree with the both of you, but it is not the best, and is also not the worst for its time.

Was batman and robin the same Genre of Science fiction? No. Contact was a sci-fi, drama. Batman and Robin was an action movie. This is where horrible critiques come from, people compare movies that are of opposite genres.
