Character Profile

Having been raised in a traditional Duskwight Elezen fashion in the subterranian caves of Thanalan, Rhomillmar, as a child, knew very little of the outside world.

On an ordinary night, when the Moon was in it's 6th Umbral polarity, the young Elezen was kidnapped from the seclusion and peace of his tribes' cave, and by unknown forces was whisked off to the highlands of northern Mor Dhona. The young Rhomillmar was bound and starved in an unknown camp for several cycles, for no apparent reason, and had no choice but to view the sky by day and night. Sometimes he was greatful for having been bound, for his fear of falling into that expansive ocean of the Sky was natural for someone not used to the outside world.

One night, after many cycles when the stars where amazingly luminous and beautifully visible prior to a typical Mor Dhonan miasma, he felt the celestial sphere try to tell him something etched within the constellations; of an account of the arcane arts; of a Lalafell being brutally slayed for his survival; of a desert; of a Linkshell.. This didn't seem too unusual considering the young Elezen yet knew nothing of the stars.

Three nights after having had such a vision the unknown group that had kidnapped him had also kidnapped and slayed a young Lalafell Thaumaturge right under his gaze. That poor Lalafell unknowingly gave his life for the freedom of the young Rhomillmar, for the Thaumaturge's staff remained at Rho's feet and became the very weapon that by instinct the Elezen used to draw on the arcane to slay the kidnappers and destroy the camp..

~

That was the beginning of a life of travel and the study of the arcane arts; Thaumaturgy, Conjury, White Magic, Black Magic, Arcanism, Geomancy, Time Magic, Mysticism, Summoning, Alchemy, ect. These became every facet of his life.

Upon returning to the caves where he was born and raised he found nothing and no one to greet him. Of course this was saddening, but also a slight relief, for the Duskwight Elezen culture harshly shuns the use of the arcane and all those whom embrace it..

Rhomillmar eventually settled in the illustrious city of Ul'dah and decided to commence his studies by joining both THM and ALC guilds where he would slowly climb their respective heirarchies.

Maybe because of the unknown disappearance of his family or the lack of close acquaintances the now adult Elezen had decided to form a Linkshell and named it after the moment that changed his life forever: Sidera Oraculum, which in the ancient tongue means Oracle of the Stars. The Linkshell slowly grew and now the Elezen has a family to call his own.

May Nald'Thal protect him, Sidera Oraculum, and all other adventurers; and may the Twelve watch over their journeys in the vastness and perilousness of Eorzea.
