Swordsmanship isn’t just a skill — it’s an art, a way of life. That’s what I keep telling myself, anyway, as I wield a training blade made from brass.

A sword like this is more a lesson than a weapon. It teaches restraint. Precision. Control. Or at least, that’s the story I’m sticking to while I try not to snap it in half by accident.

They say the blade reflects its wielder. I suppose that makes me a little dull, easily dented, and not meant for prolonged use — but with potential, if shaped right.

We’ll see what kind of sword I forge myself into.
