In a life before this one, he was known as Yuriel Anthaeleigh. He was a elvaan dragoon of no small repute on a world known as Vana'diel in the universe of Kujata. As a seasoned adventurer, he'd returned home to find all his riches and wealth plundered. Pennyless and stripped of even his dragoon artifact armor, he walked off into the cold, keening wind of Valdeaunia depressed and defeated. He fought his way to the top of Castle Zvahl, naked except his lance. With fallen demons in his wake, he climbed to the highest vantage, enjoyed the view, and leaped to his death. Reborn from oblivion into Eorezea, he travels forth to new adventures, with no memory of his dark past besides his first name, the names of his best friends and that of his brother, Barachiel.
