Upon recently waking up from a four year coma, Skald is in search for truth and the meaning of friendship. Though the details of his past are shrouded with deep secrecy, he lives to atone for his past actions. He believes that no amount of good will ever stop the nightmares and the dead, whose blood is on his hands, will never be able to return.

He has recently taken up residence in Gridania and is trying to discover the goodness in the world, so that he can right the wrongs from his past. He has a vendetta and nothing will ever ultimately stop him from seeing the conclusion. He also knows that he cannot complete his adventure alone, so though he is not very social, he does try his best to meet fellow adventurers to travel with.

Will he succeed and witness the end of the darkness and finally be able to live completely in the light?
