ALLIED BEAST TRIBES
Finally maxed out the Kobold beast tribe quest (now I'm all caught up with all the beast tribe quests! Gotta say though, my favorite is still the namazu tribe quests (so funny!) and the pixie (for being sooo easy and short).
I proceeded to start the allied quest beast tribe quest for ARR. That was kinda neat. I love it when unrelated-related things come together to work together. Just like the DC crossover event: Crisis On Infinite Earth that I just watched today.
CHECKPOINT LVL
I finally made lvl 50 on several jobs! Machinist, Ninja, Warrior, and Black Mage, and lvl 70 on Gunbreaker. Everyday I'm going to get lvl 50 on something from this point. Everyday, I lvl up one of my job level by 1, and I'm at lvl 49 for the remaining. It's going to take me a while, but I'm not in a rush. The reason I'm doing this, is so I can share the armors. My inventory is too full! Square Enix really should give us more inventory space (or stop making awesome armor glamours! I want to collect them all!)
GRAND COMPANY CAPTAIN
I also made Storm Captain! Had to do 3 command quests. Wow, those NPC players suck so bad! Much, much worst than the trust NPC. Guess they learned from their mistakes and improved on it.
I wonder if you get some sort of achievement if you get Captain in all 3 grand companies... anyone know?
EUREKA
Thanks to Faey Baali, I got 100+ lockboxes to open. One of them gave me a T-Rex mount! YAY! And a few other glamour items (nooooo!!! my glamour chest is full, retainer inventory is full too!!).
Got most of the logograms done except 2 I believe. Also, thanks to Faey for helping me out with this. There's this site (
https://ffxiv-eureka.com/logograms), where you can write how many logograms you have down below, and it'll tell you the combinations to add to make that spell. It reminds me a little bit of Diablo II's runes.
BLUE MAGE SPELLSBOOK
Again, thanks to Faey on this one, but I dragged him and several FC members to get me some spells to finish out my spellbook. I can say it's 98% completed now! I only have 2 left, and the last 2 are from Masked Carnivale. I gotta say, the carnivale floors are actually pretty ingenious. I learned so much from spells I have, and how to use certain combos. For example, Flying Sardine, never knew that it can be used to interrupt things. Or that Bomb Toss can be used for stunning. I didn't think that I would ever finish the spellbook.
I didn't think I would ever get lvl 70 on BLU either. I didn't know about the power leveling trick you can do to get exp really fast. Pro tip, you need a friend to help you, go to Cereleum Processing Plant to get to lvl 50, Azys La for lvl 60, and Stilltide for lvl 70. You can't be in a party, but you want the BLU to cast flying sardine on monsters, and the friend insta-killing those monsters. I helped out an FC member Ren Decriceto with it up to lvl 50. Damn it's grindy. I keep getting stuck on broken machinerys in the landscape. Thank you to all my p-lvlers who have helped me in the past.
RATHALOS SCALES
My FC did old content night this past Monday, and we ran about 3 hours worth (30 runs) of Great Hunt Extreme for the scales. Wow its mind-numbling, but I only need 20 more!! Then I can trade it for the Rathalos mount! Wooo! I finally learned how to use party finder (thanks Faey, again!) for teaching me how to use it when we were doing the BLU spellbook, so maybe I'll just do that to get the last 20 scales...
This blog post's image is from one of the failures from the trial. If anyone died 3x, its an auto wipe. That elephant thing runs away too fast!! LOL sometimes, we don't kill it fast enough and have no place to hide when Rathalos roars his insta-wipe flames.
MOGGLE TOMESTONES
This is my first moggle tomestones event. I heard from Faey that you can get 50 tomes in about an hour if you run it in Aurum Vale with 4 BLUs. And he was right. I ran it for about 2.5 hours, and got 80 tomes. Better than doing MSQ roulettes. I was still learning, so that's why it's taking me a bit longer. But now that I know how to do it, it should be easy peasy. I need a total of 267 for everything I wanted I believe, they include 2 mounts, minions, and orchestrion rolls. Seriously, this game brings out the collection hoarder in me!!
Pro tip: to do the Aurum Vale run w/ BLU, everyone needs missile skills, ram's voice, and ultravibration. There also needs to be 1 tank or blue-tank role. You just need 2 blue mages to cast missile on a boss, and bam, they're dead, then the tank just keeps running toward the next boss and the next.
Hope you enjoyed reading today's entry. Comments and likes are appreciated and welcomed. See you in-game!
PS - Why is the blog title have character limits? So hard to condense this type of blog entry. Hmmm should I just write a cool quote or something, dear readers? Something unrelated to what I'm actually writing? Or keep doing what I'm currently doing?
PPS - Wooo! I finally got a shoutout from Rein Tenebres' blog bwahahahaha! Check out his post here:
