For Coin & Country Forwards on to Victory For Song & Story
Riknap Djana'y, the Hyur daughter of the young Ala Mhigan refugee Rearik Djana'y who made a small fortune as a Gladiator in Ul'dah yet disappeared without a trace after the Calamity, makes the fortuitous journey to Ul'dah herself five years later to trace the footsteps her father once took in a bid to discover what had happened of him.
Along the way, Riknap herself would eventually be a notable Gladiator by her own right and, over time, both be recruited into the ranks of the free Paladins in service to the crown as well join the Imperial Flames, where she would climb the ranks to one day become Captain. In the pursuit of ever more power, she would also train and take up arms as a Lancer. Thereafter, it would be discovered that she possessed the gift known as the Echo, and would find herself recruited into the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. It was through her journey as a Scion that she would then encounter the Azure Dragoon Estinien, wherein she herself would gain the strength of a Dragoon.
As Paladin and Dragoon both, she served as their resident eikon-slayer, marshalling the strength of other echo-gifted adventurers in aid of the Scion's sworn duty. After a small incident involving a lalafell friend, she would be inspired to dabble in the arcane, learning not only to harness the might of the fallen eikons, beckoning them into battlefield as a Summoner, but also be gifted with lost Nymian arts, calling forth a faerie to facilitate in the restorative art of the Scholar.
And so she would serve, as master of both sword and spear, wielder of both faerie and primals, as the linchpin in what would eventually spiral into Operation Archon, an offensive by the Eorzean Alliance against the Garlean Empire. By such acts would she and the Scions win fame as champions of their realm. However, after a series of events involving the Crystal Braves, a spin-off of the Scions naively fashioned in the image of an independent Grand Company, she would find herself embroiled in an incident in Ul'dah, and would be forced to flee towards Ishgard along with a sole Scion as a companion for a time.
It was during this short exile when she would soon find her skills put to the test, being drawn into in the Ishgardian-Dravinian rivalry. And so she would bear arms, this time in pursuit of a hidden truth and an elusive peace, which would soon culiminate in subsequent final Dragonsong war. And yet even, even this would earn her no respite, for no sooner had one war ended than would another one begin. The intrigues of the past would catch up with her, and this time would find herself thrust into a pivotal role in what would lead to the liberation of her missing father's homeland of Ala Mhigo and, along the way, the liberation of the distant eastern land of Doma as well.
