NAEL IS FINALLY DEAD!
I've been a part of a static doing Minimum-iLvl No-Echo progression of the Bahamut raids for the first time recently, and they are really really fun, but so so janky at times. I do like them overall, though, which is more than what can be said for some other members here..
Not to dog on them or anything, but some negativity I'm not too fond of started showing during the last 2 or 3 meets, I think people were frustrated by being stuck for so long.
But, with the fight completed, I'd have to say that it's not the nightmare that so many people seem to think that it is. The fight is fairly involved, but it doesn't require as much overt planning as it does require just situational awareness. The meteors in the beginning of the second mob phase before the flare cast, for example. It's fairly easy to do, you just need to keep your eyes peeled for who has markers and not stand near them if you have one. I think some members in my group specifically had problem with being asked to watch out and adapt rather than going in with one solid plan. We cleared in the end though, which makes me happy to hear. Tanking that fight as a PLD has been consistently fun, and I hope that the T13 grind is just as engaging as this one.
Grats! I started raiding during Shadowbringers but never tried the older raids. How do they compare? I'm with you on the negativity issue. Quick progression is a measure of success when raiding, but the journey and hanging out with friends are what matter to me.
