Zemar Asuga is a Miqo'te looking to get paid.

Don't get it wrong. He's extremely cheerful, high energy and optimistic to a fault. He even has a pretty strong moral compass, but at the end of the day his primary purpose of becoming an adventurer was to get rich. This doesn't mean he's willing to perform unsavory tasks or underhanded deals for money. One has to have standards after all. However there's no reason you can't do the right thing and also get paid for it!

He enlisted with the Immortal Flames and rose to the rank of Lieutenant. He would probably rise higher were it not for the sake of laziness. Zemar would 100% rather spend the night hanging out in the bar drinking exotic fruit flavored rums than ever doing his job. Gotta get that drinking money somehow though, so while he doesn't shirk his duties, he will complain about them and complete them in the laziest manner possible.

Other things holding Zemar back from promotions may be his absolute unwillingness to wear a proper uniform, or even clothe himself possibly. He tends to prefer loose fitting clothes, often just a pair of shorts and a jacket with no shirt. If it's hot out he might lose the jacket as well. It is unknown if Zemar actually owns a shirt. Surely he must, he just never wears it.

Zemar can be a bit of a flirt. He's also a flirt that doesn't seem to actually care what gender it is he's flirting with. He does tend to prefer other miqo'tes though than other species. Having said that he's never really one to follow through on anything. The actual flirting part seems to be a game to him, and he has no actual interest in actually scoring a date or actually taking anything to the next level. In fact an easy way to get him flustered and throw him off his game is to try suggesting going home with him or something along those lines. Then watch him freak out and come up with some excuse for why it won't work out.
