I have been in a holding pattern for the past 20-ish years, doing my job just because it was the simplest path forward. Now things have been made less simple, and I refuse to go back to how they used to be. I will improve myself and find a better future.

I'm getting laid off from a minimum wage job, and going back to college to become an electrician or something. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I hope things will make more sense before I run out of money.

If you see me in duty finder, don't worry, your deaths amuse me greatly.

No one should work a min wage job.

I am not brave enough.
Even when asked to apply for a promotion I am too cowardly, end up waiting till they promote me to the position after they are unable to fill the position. You are much braver than I am.

I hope you enjoy your new career path is fulfilling and challenging in all the right ways.
I believe there are trade schools and paid intern options as well for an electricians career path if college is not to your liking.
