So the endgame of the Rising event is a kind of nonsensical one: you get whisked away to a place called the Eighteenth Floor, where the game's developers exist in Eorzean fashion.
Actually while at first glance the room looks unremarkable and just full of NPCs bearing developer names there are a few weird quirky things to find if you take the time to look around:
...Like this guy. Who's riding a rocking horse... backwards, while playing Final Fantasy XIV on-screen. (It's an image of the game on the monitor you see in front of him.)
Or this magic broom that slowly laps around the room, but if you follow it, eventually it always returns to the same place and spouts a bit of backwards dialogue a la FF1:
Which reveals a text command, /ptime, that tells you exactly how many days, hours, and minutes you've been playing the game in total! (6 days, 7 hours, and 41 minutes, in my case.)
Also I want what this guy's looking for as a minion. Make it happen, Square:
Sadly, I can't find Nobuo Uematsu anywhere in here, but I guess it's just the development team. Anyway, gonna go chat up all the NPCs before I wrap up the quest and claim my minions. Ciao!
Good ol Spriggans. I love those little dust bunnies. I think there might actually be a minion version of them, but I've never seen anyone with one in-game.
I have a "demon box" that I got for attending a Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, and it's actually a Spriggan hiding under a gift box.
That is adorable. That is absolutely adorable. I love it.
