IMPORTANT! Please read the Official Rules before participating in the Feast Regional Championship 2018.

By participating in the championship, you agree that you have read and agreed to the Official Rules and represent that you satisfy all of the eligibility requirements for the Championship.

ELIGIBILITY / ENTRY PROCEDURE

ELIGIBILITY

Must reside within the following territories: the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, Spain, Russia, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Austria, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, New Zealand, Denmark, Greece.
Must be able to communicate in English.
Must have a European Square Enix Account and active subscription to FINAL FANTASY XIV and adhere to the User Agreement.
Must be able to attend the following events:
Saturday, September 8, 2018 – Semifinals for the Chaos Data Centre, Block A
Sunday, September 9, 2018 – Semifinals for the Chaos Data Centre, Block B
Friday, February 1, 2019 – Travel to Paris, France
Saturday, February 2, 2019 – Fan Festival Day 1
Sunday, February 3, 2019 – Fan Festival Day 2
Monday, February 4, 2019 – Return from Paris 
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must form or join a player-versus-player team in-game with a minimum of four (4) and maximum of six (6) players.
Must not be participating in multiple PvP teams.

ENTRY PROCEDURE FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP

  1. 1 Forming a PvP Team You may form a team of 4 to 6 players. Click here for further details.
    Please note that players will be unable to join an existing PvP team during the championship period.
  2. 2 Entry to the Preliminaries You can enter the preliminaries as a PvP Team by participating in the in-game “The Feast (Team Ranked Match)” PvP matches. The PvP Team’s rating will change based on the result of each match. At the end of the preliminaries period, teams are determined to enter the semifinals based on their rankings in each of the data centers and their eligibility under the Official Rules.
  3. 3 Entry to the Semifinals The top six eligible teams from the preliminaries in the Chaos data centre will be able to participate in the semifinals. An email will be sent to each of the qualifying PvP team leaders by the 27th of August with further details.
  4. 4 Entry to the Finals During the semifinals, the top two teams from each Block of the Chaos data centre will be eligible to participate in the finals. At the finals, participants will be required to use the Square Enix Account provided by the event staff. These account will contain the character data of the participant, so you will be able to play with your character. An email will be sent to each of the qualifying PvP team members by September the 30th with further details.
  • *An email will be sent to the email address registered to your Square Enix Account. Please make sure that you are able to receive emails from @eu.square-enix.com beforehand.
  • *We will not resend the instructions for the Championship.
  • *Except where prohibited by law, entry into the Championship constitutes permission to use the Entrants’ and Championship Winners’ team names, character names, real names, photographs, account names, avatars, profile images, likenesses, prize information, submissions, and/or other information in connection with the Contest or for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation.
  • *If the qualifying PvP team isn’t able to proceed to the next portion of the championship, the following eligible PvP team in the rankings may be selected to enter instead.
  • *The championship schedule is subject to change.
Regarding Invitations to the Fan Festival 2019 in Paris
  • During the Fan Festival 2019 in Paris setup period on Friday, February 1, 2019, we will ask each of the attending team members to verify that their name and address matches the information contained in their Square Enix Account. Please be sure to bring some form of identification such as a valid driver’s license, passport, or student ID. Copies of identification will not be eligible.
  • Hotel stay is scheduled for three nights, from Friday, February 1, 2019 to Sunday, February 3, 2019. This does not include meals or any other additional amenities.
  • Travel itineraries will be determined based on the address registered on your Square Enix Account. If travel involves flight or any other major transportation, tickets will be prepared beforehand by Square Enix or its designee.
  • Hotel stay is scheduled for four nights, from Wednesday, November 14, 2018 to Saturday, November 17, 2018. Meals and other additional amenities are not included.

MATCH RULES

Match Rules Shared Across All Championships

  • A “match” is defined as a series of “rounds” played between two teams.

    Example: In a best-of-five round match, the team that wins three rounds will be the winner of the match.

  • Role Composition

    A team must be comprised of 1 tank, 1 healer, 1 melee DPS, and 1 ranged DPS.

    Individual Role Breakdown
    Tank: Paladin / Warrior / Dark Knight / Gunbreaker
    Melee DPS: Monk / Dragoon / Ninja / Samurai
    Ranged DPS: Bard / Machinist / Dancer / Black Mage / Summoner / Red Mage
    Healer: White Mage / Scholar / Astrologian

  • Team members may freely change jobs between rounds as long as they meet the role composition requirement.
  • Teams may freely change PvP additional actions and traits per round.
  • Teams may switch party members per match, but not per round.
  • In-game macros may be used.
  • The Quick Chat feature may be used.

Preliminary Match Rules

  • Teams will compete in the Feast (Team Ranked Match) to gain team ratings to be ranked in the in-game rating system.
  • Rankings will be determined by the best team rating during the preliminaries.
  • If at any chance multiple teams have the same rating, the rankings will be determined by their current rating, then number of victories, and finally their winning rate.
  • Entrants must prepare all hardware themselves.
  • Any equipment and/or network-related issues will be the responsibility of the player.
  • If at any point the number of team members does not meet the required minimum four player composition, the team will be automatically removed from the rankings.

Semifinal Match Rules

  • The Operations Team will use the Feast (Custom Match – Crystal Tower) for the matches.
  • The matches will be a round-robin, with the winner determined by best-of-three (BO3).
  • The rankings will be determined based on win rate once all teams have completed their matches.
  • If, at any point, multiple teams have the same win rate, then a single match will be played amongst those teams. If the matches end in another draw, the winners will be determined based on the total amount of medals they have earned during the semifinals.
  • Entrants must prepare all hardware themselves.
  • Any equipment and/or network-related issues will be the responsibility of the player.
  • In a situation where a match cannot advance due to situations such as a server outage, then that match will be null, and a rematch will be held.
  • Team members may only participate in the semifinals with the team they were in during the end of preliminaries when rankings were finalized. If at any point the number of team members does not meet the required minimum four player composition, the team will be disqualified.

Final Match Rules

  • The Operations Team will use the Feast (Custom Match – Crystal Tower) for the matches.
  • The #1 team from Chaos data centre, Block A and the #2 team from Chaos data centre, Block B, will take part in a best-of-three (BO3) match to determine the first finalist.
  • The #1 team from Chaos data centre, Block B and the #2 team from Chaos data centre, Block A, will take part in a best-of-three (BO3) match to determine the second finalist.
  • The winning teams will face each other off in a final best-of-five (BO5) match to determine the Feast Regional Champion in Europe.
  • The rankings will be determined based on win rate once all teams have completed their matches.
  • If the matches end in a draw, the winner will be determined based on the total amount of medals they have earned during the finals.
  • All hardware will be provided by Square Enix. You are prohibited from using any personal device. Details on the hardware used during the finals can be found here.

  • As part of the schedule, a separate time will be allotted to setup each team member’s individual HUD layout, system configuration, character configuration, hotbar, gear set, and in-game macros. You may not transfer data using devices such as external memory USB drives or cloud saves.
  • You may use individual team uniforms; however, you may not wear any clothing that displays sponsored products, service names, or sponsor names on a person or a team.
  • After the semifinals, players may join a new PvP team in-game; however, you may only participate in the finals with the team, and team members, that participated when the results were finalized for the semifinals. If at any point the number of team members does not meet the four player minimum requirement, the team will be disqualified.

DISQUALIFICATION

If any of the members of a PvP team meet any of the following conditions, the team may be disqualified from participation in the Championship at the Operation Team’s discretion.

  • If a match cannot be played due to PvP team member’s tardiness or unavailability.
  • If a team member conducts any of the prohibited actions set forth in the restrictions below.

If a team is disqualified at any point, the next eligible PvP team in the order of the rankings will be selected to proceed in their absence.

RESTRICTIONS

The following actions will be prohibited during the course of the championship.

  1. 1. Actions that go against good sportsmanship, honesty, or fair play.
  2. 2. Actions that are in violation of Square Enix staff’s instructions.
  3. 3. Issuing false statements against Square Enix staff.
  4. 4. Deliberately damaging hardware provided by the Operations Team.
  5. 5. Deliberately causing delays or impeding the progress of the championship.
  6. 6. Any violence, physically or verbally against another.
  7. 7. Deliberately abusing any in-game issues.
  8. 8. Using another users’ Square Enix Account to participate in the championship.
  9. 9. Transferring or selling the rights to participate in the championship to a third party.
  10. 10. Actions that will affect the outcome of a match by cooperating with other players, such as win-trading.
  11. 11. Actions that may lead to using the championship as form of profit.
  12. 12. Activities that are prohibited in the rules set forth in this document.
  13. 13. Activities that are prohibited by the FINAL FANTASY XIV user agreement.
  14. 14. Activities that are prohibited by the Square Enix Account agreement.
  15. 15. Activities that qualify as win-trading.
  16. 16. Buying or selling boosting services.
  17. 17. Any other activities that the Operation Team may deem as an illicit activity.
