Known Issues After Patch 4.5 (Jan. 18) (Update Jan. 24, 2019 11:35 a.m. GMT)

We have confirmed the following issues and ask for your patience as we investigate.

■ Unable to learn the skill Eruption in "The Bowl of Embers."

* The skill can be learned in "The Bowl of Embers (Hard)" and "The Bowl of Embers (Extreme)."
* We are planning to address this in a Hotfix scheduled for Jan. 24th.

■ During the Agrias battle in "The Orbonne Monastery", if the boss is defeated immediately after the player is moved to a different area because of the boss's action, the player will be unable to leave that area.

* We are planning to address this in a Hotfix scheduled for Jan. 24th. If you encounter this issue, please use "Return" to exit the area.

*Update Jan. 24, 2019 11:35 a.m. (GMT):
This issue was addressed in the maintenance which occurred from Jan. 23, 2019 10:00 p.m. to Jan. 24, 2019 12:50 a.m. (GMT).
We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this issue.

■ If a player kills a monster in one hit and immediately switches jobs while in the open world, the job that they switched to gains the EXP.

Although this issue was previously recognised, this method of earning EXP by defeating open-world monsters was not widely used and did not have a significant effect. Because addressing it would have required changes to the core structure of the EXP-gaining system, we left the issue at the resolution period determining stage.

Because the blue mage is designed to receive more EXP than other jobs, this issue became much more noticeable recently and has concerned many players. This issue should have been addressed before the implementation of blue mage, and we apologise for the inconvenience.

We are making the investigation of this issue a high priority, but as explained above, it involves changing the core structure of the EXP gaining method, making it difficult to address with a mere Hotfix. Currently, we are aiming to address this issue in Patch 5.0.

We would normally classify such a method for levelling as an exploit, but since we were not able to address this promptly despite it being a known issue, we will not issue any penalties for players who level this way. However, since this was not the Blue Mage’s intended design, we do not recommend engaging in this behaviour, and encourage players to level in the intended fashion.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
