The Calm Before the Scholar

For the last few weeks, things have been calm. I’ve had ample time to recover from the gruesome “torture sessions” Akiudo considers vital for the safety of the realm. Personally, I think she’s overreacting, but after two weeks of enjoying the freedom, I’ll admit… I almost miss it a bit.
This is going to come back to haunt me, isn't it?
A little bird told me she finally finished that hunt for her relic weapon. If that’s true, there’s probably some action on the horizon. I should probably get back to my Warrior training; if she catches me mid-nap after my two-week slacking tour of Thanalan, I’ll never hear the end of it.
Pray for my safety, people.
It is fascinating how you consider ‘staying alive’ a torture session, Donezo. While I am pleased you enjoyed your hiatus, you are correct—the weapon is restored. However, my research has already uncovered a second ancient artifact that requires... ‘attuning.’
I hope you enjoyed your naps. You're coming with me on the next hunt. ^_^
Perhaps you two should consider pacing yourselves a little, maybe duty and 'surviving' wouldn't be quite such a hassle in that case. Maybe you would also enjoy a more pleasant relationship in that case.

Oh, do not fret. There is hardly any risk involved—though I can definitely make it spicier if he wants.
That feisty potato is coming with me whether he likes it or not. ^_^ There is a very wide world out there filled with things that require 'smashing,' and I am quite certain Donezo will enjoy himself once he actually gets his butt out of bed.

But I could do with a bit less of the "spiciness," thank you very much. It’s bad enough being the literal punching bag for every monster in Eorzea; I don't need my healer making it worse. Granted, I’m the one asking for the hits, but that is beside the point here!
