The release of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood is right around the corner. As adventurers prepare to begin their adventures anew at the start of Early Access, it gives us great pleasure to release the patch notes for the 4.0 update!

For those curious as to changes to actions and traits, the patch notes are scheduled to be released in their entirety on Thursday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. (PDT). Prepare yourselves, Warriors of Light─war is coming!

* Additions have been made to the patch 4.0 notes, which can now be viewed in their entirety.

Early access for FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood begins on Friday, June 16 at 10:00 (BST) / 09:00 (GMT)!

For the benefit of those who will begin their adventures anew on the official release, we ask that players participating in early access refrain from posting messages, pictures, or videos containing spoilers to the official forums, the lodestone, and other social media websites.

Moreover, any use of copyrighted material must adhere to the FINAL FANTASY XIV Software license agreement.

The beginning of Early Access marks the opening of Omega, the new World on the Chaos data center (EUDC).

In addition to this new world and the preemptive measures mentioned in Preventing Congestion on Congested Worlds, we have also begun a number of bonus incentives to coincide with Early Access. These measures and bonuses have been implemented to encourage an even distribution of active players across all Worlds, and ensure an enjoyable player experience.

Support for the PlayStation®3 version of FINAL FANTASY XIV will end at the start of early access for FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood on Friday, June 16.

As thanks to our players for supporting FINAL FANTASY XIV, we will be upgrading licenses for the PlayStation®3 version to the PlayStation®4 version automatically. We hope players will take this opportunity to upgrade and enjoy fantastic new adventures in the realm of Eorzea.

Please note that, as automatic payments have been suspended for players registered only to the PlayStation®3 version, you will not be charged upon completing the upgrade to the PlayStation®4 version.
