Crystalline Conflict Regional Championship 2023

Crystalline Conflict Regional Championship 2023 is a series of official FINAL FANTASY XIV PvP tournaments being held in each region to determine the ultimate victor of Crystalline Conflict in North America, Europe & Oceania, and Japan.

The tournament will begin with Preliminaries and Quarterfinals, which will be held online. Teams that emerge victorious in the Quarterfinals will be invited to their local Fan Festival to take part in the Finals to decide the regional champion!

Tournament Schedule

The Crystalline Conflict Regional Championship consists of Preliminaries and Quarterfinals which are held online, and the Semifinals and Finals which will be held at the Fan Festival 2023 in London event in different schedules.

Tournament Rules

Match Rules for all Stages of the Crystalline Conflict Regional Championship

  • A "match" is defined as series of "rounds" played between two (2) Teams.
  • Stage Effects will be enabled.
  • Kits may be used.
  • In-game macros may be used.
  • The Quick Chat feature may be used.
  • A Team must be comprised of five (5) players of differing jobs during all rounds and matches.
  • Team members may freely change jobs between rounds as long as they meet the composition requirements.
  • Teams may switch party members per match, but not per round.

Preliminaries

  • Preliminaries are scheduled to be held online on the following dates:
    1. Saturday, 26 August 2023
    2. Sunday, 27 August 2023
    3. Saturday, 2 September 2023
    4. Sunday, 3 September 2023
  • Participating Teams will be divided into eight (8) brackets. The matches will be a round-robin within each bracket.
    * The number of participating Teams in each bracket will be determined by the total number of Teams participating in the tournament.
  • The winners of each match will be determined by best-of-three (BO3).
  • The top two (2) Teams from each bracket will proceed to the Quarterfinals.
  • Entrants must prepare all hardware themselves.
  • The arena for each round will be randomly chosen by the host from one of the following four (4) arenas:
    The Palaistra / The Volcanic Heart / Cloud Nine / The Clockwork Castletown

Quarterfinals

  • Quarterfinals are scheduled to be held online and livestreamed on the following dates:
    1. Saturday, 9 September 2023
    2. Sunday, 10 September 2023
  • Two (2) brackets from the Preliminaries will be matched together with four (4) Teams per bracket to take part in an elimination-style match.
  • The winners of each match will be determined by best-of-three (BO3).
  • The winning Team of each bracket will proceed to the Semifinals.
  • Entrants must prepare all hardware themselves.
  • The arena for each round will be randomly chosen by the presenters from one of the following four (4) arenas:
    The Palaistra / The Volcanic Heart / Cloud Nine / The Clockwork Castletown

Semifinals

  • Semifinals are scheduled to be held on-stage at Fan Festival 2023 in London and will be livestreamed on Sunday, 22 October 2023.
  • The top four (4) eligible Teams from the Quarterfinals will compete in an elimination-style match.
  • The winners of each match will be determined by best-of-three (BO3).
  • All hardware will be provided by Square Enix:
    - Gaming PC
    - Gaming Headset
    - Keyboard
    - Mouse
    - Gamepad
  • Team members may bring and use their own keyboard, mouse, left-hand gaming device, and/or gamepad; however, macros from gaming software and gaming hardware are prohibited.
  • The arena for each round will be randomly chosen by the presenters from one of the following four (4) arenas:
    The Palaistra / The Volcanic Heart / Cloud Nine / The Clockwork Castletown

Finals

  • Finals are scheduled to be held on-stage at Fan Festival 2023 in London and will be livestreamed on Sunday, 22 October 2023.
  • The two (2) finalist Teams will take part in a best-of-five (BO5) match to determine the Crystalline Conflict Regional Champion in Europe & Oceania.
  • All hardware will be provided by Square Enix:
    - Gaming PC
    - Gaming Headset
    - Keyboard
    - Mouse
    - Gamepad
  • Team members may bring and use their own keyboard, mouse, left-hand gaming device, and/or gamepad; however, macros from gaming software and gaming hardware are prohibited.
  • The arena for each round will be randomly chosen by the presenters from one of the following four (4) arenas:
    The Palaistra / The Volcanic Heart / Cloud Nine / The Clockwork Castletown
    The fifth round will be held in the Palaistra.
  • * Times may vary depending on the number of participating Teams.
  • * Tournament schedule is subject to change without notice.

In Case of a Tie

Preliminaries

  • A round which enters overtime and does not have a winner at the conclusion of the round will be considered a tie.
  • If, during the round-robin, the participating Teams win the same number of matches, the winning Team will be determined based on the following criteria. Should the Teams have the same totals across their winning matches, then a single-round match will be held between the tied Teams to break the tie.
    1. Highest total progress record across their winning matches.
    2. Shortest total match time across their winning matches.

Quarterfinals

  • A round which enters overtime and does not have a winner at the conclusion of the round will be considered a tie.
  • If the participating Teams win the same number of matches, a single-round match will be held between the tied Teams to break the tie.

Semifinals

  • A round which enters overtime and does not have a winner at the conclusion of the round will be considered a tie.
  • If the participating Teams win the same number of matches, a single-round match will be held between the tied Teams to break the tie.

Finals

  • A round which enters overtime and does not have a winner at the conclusion of the round will be considered a tie.
  • If the participating Teams win the same number of matches, a single-round match will be held between the tied Teams to break the tie.
