  • About Free Companies

    A community to play together with friends on the same World.

    Free companies are player-run organizations which allow their members to pool resources, be it items or gil, to accomplish feats that would be difficult or impossible for a single individual.
    The benefits of joining a free company include a dedicated chat channel for all members, the ability to purchase an estate to serve as the group's base of operations, and the use of free company actions that grant bonuses such as increased experience points.
    No two free companies share the same goals and motivations, so be sure to choose the free company that's right for you.

  • About Linkshells and Cross-world Linkshells

    A dedicated chat channel for players who share a common aim.

    Linkshells and cross-world linkshells are chat groups which allow for quick and easy communication between players who are not necessarily in a party or free company. Unlike free companies, players are able to join multiple linkshells, making it possible to join different communities dedicated to various aspects of the game.

    Linkshells: allow communication with any players on the same World.
    Cross-world Linkshells: allow communication with any players on the same data center.
  • About PvP Teams

    A team dedicated to enjoying PvP duties.

    Teamwork is key, so be sure to find a team with whom you're confident you can hone your skills together.

    PvP duties: allow players to compete against one another in unique instanced arenas.

Ahoy, traveler! The Grey Tide Corsairs are lookin’ to bolster the crew of our Free Company with bold souls aged 18 and over. We’re an inclusive lot—whether you’re a grizzled veteran of the seas and skies or still learnin’ which end of the blade goes where, you’re welcome aboard. We’ve a lively Discord tavern, regular excursions, seasoned mentors, and more threads than a Limsa tailor. Send us a missive or toss us an application if you fancy flyin’ with us.

So what is GTC all about, then?
Simple as plotting a course under clear skies: we play Final Fantasy XIV with mates we enjoy, and we treat ‘em like the treasures they are. Raiders, role-players, glam aficionados, dungeon delvers, or folks who just want good company. You’ll find your berth among equals here. The biggest rule? Don’t be a scoundrel. Treat others with honesty and respect, and you’ll never steer wrong.

Speak your piece. We’re pirates, not tyrants. The command crew’s job is to keep the ship steady, not bark orders from the crow’s nest (unless you’re makin’ life miserable for someone, in which case we’ll show you the plank, fair and square).

What does ‘keepin’ the ship steady’ look like?
*Hoistin' the sails on daily Company Actions.
*Chartin’ and hostin’ weekly events, festive gatherings, and general merriment (but any crewmate can plot a party too).
*Enforcin' our strict No Discrimination code—race, gender, politics, faith, who you love—we fly together or not at all.
*Keepin, company chat courteous and clean (pirate banter’s welcome, within reason and considering the above rule).
*Tendin' the Discord like a loyal coeurl.
*Lendin' a hand when one’s needed.
*Settlin' squabbles fairly and openly.
*And aye, now and then, bidding farewell to those who can't follow our creed of kindness, always with a fair hearing first.
*Lastly, ain't none of us the leading man nor lady in the FC. No cults of personality here.

So if that sounds like your kind of ship, don’t hesitate. The Grey Tide Corsairs are always be lookin’ for kindred spirits to sail with. If not, well, we still wish you a strong wind to your sails. Our flotilla of friends extends to many another FC crew, large and small, former members or just old friends.
