Free companies are player-run organizations which allow their members to pool resources, be it items or gil, to accomplish feats that would be difficult or impossible for a single individual.
The benefits of joining a free company include a dedicated chat channel for all members, the ability to purchase an estate to serve as the group's base of operations, and the use of free company actions that grant bonuses such as increased experience points.
No two free companies share the same goals and motivations, so be sure to choose the free company that's right for you.
Linkshells and cross-world linkshells are chat groups which allow for quick and easy communication between players who are not necessarily in a party or free company. Unlike free companies, players are able to join multiple linkshells, making it possible to join different communities dedicated to various aspects of the game.
Linkshells: allow communication with any players on the same World.PvP teams allow players to participate in team-specific ranked matches in the Feast. Team ratings are given based on performance in the Feast, with top-ranking PvP teams receiving special rewards, and the chance to participate in larger PvP events.
Teamwork is key, so be sure to find a team with whom you're confident you can hone your skills together.

Hello folks! We currently have mission sign ups in place where we farm extreme mounts until those who've signed up get their mount so come join. As a team, we've completed/farmed everything (including Stormblood Savage raids) up to Current content, Ruby Weapon. Not yet Seat of Sacrifice and Emerald Weapon. We have some folks big on Final Fantasy Lore as well as Square Enix game lore for discussion, and some glamour aficionados. If any of you have questions, want to know some more details on the FC, you can usually find me in Ul'dah at the Flames Grand Company area, the main Aetheryte, but mainly at the Sapphire Exchange area by the Market Board, Summoning Bell, and the Scrips vendors prob just hanging out or crafting stuff.
