Cataclysms have come and gone, a world saved from oblivion time and again, begins its first steps into a future where the rules have changed once more. Those who felt their effects, witnessed their horrors, survivors of war and famine alike seek refuge from the past in order to reclaim their futures. But not all take kindly to the influx of foreigners on their shores. Some react to the hopeless and downtrodden as if they were a plague of their own, turning them away at best or eliminating the problem at their worst.

The members of the Ashen Dawn are no strangers to any of it. We have survived the fire, and from the ashes we have become something else entirely. Those that burned us will feel the wrath of a thousand stars, but even still we have not abandoned our oath to save those in need. If you are broken, defiled, or lost, you can find safety and sanctuary in our halls.

We will help you get back on your feet, train you to survive in this world, and then whatever you choose to do with the new life you are given will be up to you. Make the choice, take the leap, and either let the fire consume you...or fly upon it's thermal winds.

OOC: Ashen Dawn is, at its core, a refuge both in RP and in Real Life. We do not seek to build a large group, simply a community of like-minded individuals who likewise tire of playing solo and/or who simply seek a place to decompress and find their center. Keeping this FC as a haven is our number one priority! RP will be casual, slice-of-life, with once-monthly public Tavern events. Additional RP is up to player/Officer discretion according to narrative needs. However, we do have plans for many adventurous and heart-wrenching moments to come, not to mention allowing you to stretch your own literary legs in pursuit of your own story, with which we would love to be a part of and experience with you.

As far as OOC content goes, don't be afraid to ask for help in tackling whatever dungeon/daily/or achievement you require! We hope to set up weekly Map nights and perhaps even a Casual Raid team!

Membership requirements are;
Only Apply if you are 18+
Two RP Character Limit (for story purposes, alts for general gaming are all welcome!)
Show respect to your fellows in both actions and words
Always keep open communication with your writing partners to ensure all enjoy the story we are building
Enjoy the game while also helping others in having a good experience in FFXIV.

Looking For:
+Creative and Mature writers who can independently drive RP and want to be part of a larger story, seeking to help build a narrative that is enjoyable for all involved.
+Friends with whom we can run content and enjoy a non-stress inducing environment.

What is not allowed:
NO Ascians, Ancients, WoL's, or NPC's
NO Open ERP, keep it private.
NO Godmodding, Blatant Lorebreaking (Bending is fine, just make it make sense in the world we are in)
NO Death or Permanent Mutilation without prior consent of all parties concerned and Officer Awareness.
NO Retconning. RP has consequences, deal with them creatively.

Leadership have final say over any invitations. Any rule-breaking or creation of issues after previous warnings are ignored are subject to abrupt dismissal from the FC.
