Free companies are player-run organizations which allow their members to pool resources, be it items or gil, to accomplish feats that would be difficult or impossible for a single individual.
The benefits of joining a free company include a dedicated chat channel for all members, the ability to purchase an estate to serve as the group's base of operations, and the use of free company actions that grant bonuses such as increased experience points.
No two free companies share the same goals and motivations, so be sure to choose the free company that's right for you.
Linkshells and cross-world linkshells are chat groups which allow for quick and easy communication between players who are not necessarily in a party or free company. Unlike free companies, players are able to join multiple linkshells, making it possible to join different communities dedicated to various aspects of the game.
Linkshells: allow communication with any players on the same World.Teamwork is key, so be sure to find a team with whom you're confident you can hone your skills together.
PvP duties: allow players to compete against one another in unique instanced arenas.Moonlit Black Cat's Recruiting Additional Members

Hello!! I recently transferred to aether and am looking for an FC that I can vibe with and kind of just run things with I dont have many friends on this game so a lot of content is out of my grasp at the moment like any hardmode content, I would love to get into savage, EX, and ultimate raiding but i need to find ppl i can get along with first.
Community Member Casey Mere Jenova [Aether]
You are in the right place then! Send me a message on discord or apply at our fc house and we'll get you in!

Hello!! I found you guys on here and just had to submit a request to join. Coming from only larger FC's as a newer player where I was just another number wasn't the experience I was looking for, so I hope I could meet some of you!
Community Member Casey Mere Jenova [Aether]

We're happy to have you! We definitely prioritize trying to maintain a smaller community rather than just mass recruiting haha

Community Member Casey Mere Jenova [Aether]
Of course we'd be happy to!
Feel free to put an application in at the placard of our fc house (Mist, Ward 1, Plot 7) or send me or my colead a dm on discord!
My discord is: caseymere
My coleads discord is: banksi_
Me and my colead have wonky schedules at the moment, so the best bet is to put in an application at the fc house placard! :D
Community Member Hzula Tia Jenova [Aether]

Hi there! Was looking to finally join an fc before Evercold so I'd have people to do stuff with, and this one seemed chill enough for things like alliance raids without being overwhelming. I'll be shooting over a request when I've got the time.
Community Member Casey Mere Jenova [Aether]
Sounds like we're a good fit! :D
I look forward to having you with us!
