Free companies are player-run organizations which allow their members to pool resources, be it items or gil, to accomplish feats that would be difficult or impossible for a single individual.
The benefits of joining a free company include a dedicated chat channel for all members, the ability to purchase an estate to serve as the group's base of operations, and the use of free company actions that grant bonuses such as increased experience points.
No two free companies share the same goals and motivations, so be sure to choose the free company that's right for you.
Linkshells and cross-world linkshells are chat groups which allow for quick and easy communication between players who are not necessarily in a party or free company. Unlike free companies, players are able to join multiple linkshells, making it possible to join different communities dedicated to various aspects of the game.
Linkshells: allow communication with any players on the same World.Teamwork is key, so be sure to find a team with whom you're confident you can hone your skills together.
PvP duties: allow players to compete against one another in unique instanced arenas.Midsommar Recruiting Additional Members

I love to help out and share the joy of the story and content with everyone. Been playing since 2014 personally. We adventure from Gridania to Tural, hanging out, sharing hobbies, taking the time to get to know one another. If typing is your preferred way to talk that's cool, I'm the same way. Folks pop in voice whenever, and usually do if we're running stuff together. Don't be too hard on yourself, a smile better suits a hero.
I check this regularly after work, we'll do our best to get back to you asap!

Hi, I'm a pretty new player, and was wondering if I could join your FC? I'm still a little new to the game, and not too sure how to join.
Community Member Kyrran Thael Gilgamesh [Aether]
Hello! Yes absolutely! We would love to have you. I'm at work for the next 4 hours or so, but I can pass along the info to my co-leader and she can invite you if she's on before me!
A'rnion Nalgala Gilgamesh [Aether]
Alrighty, thank you!
Community Member Kyrran Thael Gilgamesh [Aether]
Looks like we missed getting you the invite yesterday. If you have discord feel free to add me @Petrichor#4142 or let me know when you'll be online next and I can see if we can get you invited! It will be easier when we have a house because you can use the placard to apply, but until that point we're relying on matching up on times
A'rnion Nalgala Gilgamesh [Aether]
Yeah, sorry about that. Had something come up yesterday. I will be online tonight at around 7:00 P.M. CST if that works with you guys.
Venn Dia'nyan Gilgamesh [Aether]

Community Member Ciril Ascar'nen Gilgamesh [Aether]

It has been a good October filled with weekly spooky movies in the discord as well. I hope everyone is enjoying this change into autumnal weather!
Community Member Kyrran Thael Gilgamesh [Aether]
The winter months are here and I hope everyone has a glad yule! May your holidays be filled with warmth, kindness, and peace. I know these times can be very difficult and isolating. Please take care of yourself and be sure to give yourself enough space and compassion.

Hallo! We are still recruiting! I'll be on a bit later tonight for our weekly treasure map runs and I can get you an invite sent out! Welcome to the game!

Thank you so much! I'm not sure how invites work, but I won't be home for another 7 hours, at work currently.
Community Member Kyrran Thael Gilgamesh [Aether]
Heh invites can be a little finicky because you both have to be online at the same time. There are ways to put in an application in game, but our fc house is in the Stormblood residential area that doesn't unlock until later in the game. If you want to add me on discord I'm @peachypetrichor and you can let me know when you're on so I can invite!
Community Member Iroh Z'en Gilgamesh [Aether]
Hello! I'm not a newcomer to the game, but I'm looking for a group to play with, if you're still recruiting. The write-up sounds great, and the FC house is lovely haha.

Service Sub Gilgamesh [Aether]
Hello, I would love to join too. I don't have access to Shirogane though :(
Community Member Kyrran Thael Gilgamesh [Aether]

Community Member Kyrran Thael Gilgamesh [Aether]
Hello! Good to meet another longtime player! We'd love to have you, today was hectic with the patch and everything, but I will have myself and Saka keep an eye out for you tomorrow! Please feel free to drop by the house in Shirogane to put in an application as well and we can get that approved!
Community Member Kyrran Thael Gilgamesh [Aether]
Looks like we're not having much luck seeing you online at the same time! Feel free to add either myself or Saka on discord! The bottom of the cf post has our usernames!
Mubz Seraphiel Alpha [Light]
hi am a returning player and would like to join the fc

Community Member Kyrran Thael Gilgamesh [Aether]
Hello! Welcome back to the game! I'm sure it has changed quite a bit since you've last played :) we're largely only active in VC during events, as many of our members can be shy and prefer typing. Like me! My vocal social battery runs out really quick after dealing with folks at work. We'd be glad to have you and Saka will be getting on shortly! What times usually work for getting an invite to you? Feel free to add me or Saka on Discord as well
G'kar Dax Midgardsormr [Aether]

G'kar Dax Midgardsormr [Aether]
thank you. one quick question, are alot of the events during the week or more on weekends? Just trying to figure out scheduling based on my own work schedule. thank you.
Community Member Kyrran Thael Gilgamesh [Aether]

Community Member Kyrran Thael Gilgamesh [Aether]
Hello! Yep, we're still recruiting folks! I'll hop on a bit later today and see if I can sync up with you to send an invite! We aren't a raiding FC, though, so you may need to search further for a static if that's your goal :D regardless we can provide community!

Hi there! My wife and I just started playing a few weeks ago, and we've really gotten into the game. We're now trying to find an FC to join and get into the game more, and the vibe of Midsommar really seems to fit a lot of our values, and it looks like a great community to be apart of. If youve got space for 2 more newbies, we'd love to be considered for a spot!
Community Member Kyrran Thael Gilgamesh [Aether]
Hello! Absolutely plenty of space we'd love to have you! I'll let Saka know to keep an eye out for whenever you're online and I can hop on to invite in a little bit here if that works also! Feel free to add either of us on Discord and we can coordinate times there as well if easier :D

Hello and welcome to FFXIV! We're definitely not Savage raiders or ultimate runners but we do have a pretty great community! Sounds like you've connected with Saka on discord so she'll coordinate recruiting times with you!
