Born on the 32nd Sun of the 4th Umbral Moon, Xochi was raised in a small farming village located in the eastern regions of Eorzea. Despite their humble origins, Xochi was always drawn to adventure and stories of great heroes and battles. As a child, he would often sneak away from his chores to practice his spear technique in the fields.

One day, while he was exploring the nearby woods, he met a fellow Hyur Highlander named Raoul. The two quickly became friends and eventually fell in love. However, their happiness was short-lived as the Garlean Empire invaded their village, killing Raoul and many others in the process.

Devastated by his loss, Xochi decided to leave his village and seek refuge in the city-state of Gridania. There, he hoped to find solace and purpose by joining the local Lancer's Guild and honing his skills as a Dragoon.

Under the tutelage of his mentor, a seasoned Dragoon named Aric, Xochi quickly excelled in his training and became known for his precision and agility with the spear. He also found new friends and allies among his fellow adventurers, although he never forgot Raoul and the love they shared.

As Xochi sets out on new adventures, he carries with him the memories of his past and the determination to honor Raoul's memory by becoming a true hero of Eorzea and seeking justice against the Garlean Empire.
