SE is trying to make Coincounter's swing range visible in Aurum Vale.
Why though? The challenge of that fight is knowing when he grips his club with one hand it's different than when he grips it with two.
You shouldn't have to hold a player's hand at lv47. Keep it challenging, YoshiP.

Something in the Vale ALWAYS seems to get nerfed at least every year. It's one of the last old difficult dungeons and they slowly have been nerfing the hardness out of it.
But as long as newbies and casual players bitch about the game being too hard, we will see more things like this to appease them.
I don't see the need to change this encounter either. It's not hard to read a cast bar and figure out what's coming. But I'm afraid I disagree with Annabel on who's at fault for this kind of thing. The majority of casuals just show up and play the game as they have time. There's only a small percentage who complain about things being too hard. I feel nerfs like these are mostly done to appease newer-often younger-players, who would rather have things handed to them than have to work for anything
