美神ラクシュミ討滅戦にて　
ラクシュミ「ケガレを祓えぬ…」
と言われて

ケガレを祓うことはとても難しい。『大祓詞』においても四柱の神がそれぞれに「遠くへ」送りだすことでようやっと祓うことができる。とっても大変。

基本的にケガレは接触や言葉（言霊）などにより他の媒体へ移るもので、人間は移しとることしかできない。消失させるには神々の恩頼に頼るほかない。

「ケ」とは日常のこと。「ハレ」とは非日常、それが神さまの領域。私たちは「ハレ」と「ケ」を行き来することで「ケガレ」と上手く付き合ってきた。「ケガレ」は身近にあるもので、忌避して隠して目を塞いで何とかなるものではない。

蛮神には祓えぬのも道理。
