So I've done a lot in the past couple of days, mostly with the side content.
I've done a lot of the Extreme fights, which were really fun. It's a shame that Echo is still semi-forced on them (and apparently even for most Savage fights), but it's fine I suppose.
Odin was my favorite out of all of these. He's super fun, and quite challenging.
I also fought my first Savage difficulty boss today. It took a million years to form a party for the Second Coil of Bahamut Turn 1 (S), but I did actually manage to get one somehow.
We fought it for a little over an hour I'd say. We only managed to get his HP down by about 18%, and then people logged off to go to bed, so Savage certainly lives up to its name. It was so fun to talk with my party about strategies and what not. Some of the most fun I've had in a game, truly.
Though it is a bit worrisome. This is content I really, really want to do, but it seems nobody else wants to do it, at least not with the ILV synced, like I had it. Don't really know how to find a party who is willing to do all of them with me, but I'm sure I'll find them in time.
I also did some Alliance Raids, or the 24-people thingies, which was crazy fun.
Though my first run was quite awful since I couldn't actually see anything with the Alliance Bars in the middle of my screen. I didn't have time to move them or disable them since everyone was so fast, but I fixed it later and it was fine.
I can't wait to try the Nier one.
