It was Master Gibrillont Rivaumaich, the owner of the Forgotten Knight tavern, now part of a consortium of Alliance-owned restaurants that include the Carline Canopy, the Quicksand, the Drowning Wench, the Ten Thousand Stalls and Shiokaze Hostelry, who came up with the suggestion from adventurers of the Blue Planet (or rather, my husband). The suggestion was the idea of a food delivery service to citizens of Ishgard and specifically the Firmamament and the New Nest.

As the Ishgardian Restoration completed and Lord Francel was busy planning future expansion with Augebert, Gibrillont introduced to the Lord Commander, Ser Aymeric, as well as representatives of the Four High Houses, the concert of the special service in which home-cooked meals made by rising artisan culinarians across the realm would be delivered to their door, without having to step out into the cold. The service was called HeavensGrub. It was an acquired name to get used to, but the motion passed and the application was made available to all eligible Ishgardians, with priority going to the displaced residing in the Firmament.

The concept was simple. First, use the issued tomestone to select the HeavensGrub app, whose logo consisted of a fork and knife crossed over Coerthas's crest. A rotating menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner repast options were available. Meals could be purchased using the gil that they had on hand, and let me tell you, these people who now live in the Firmament are hard workers, hard blue-collar families who are hunters and craftsmen of no small repute. After selecting their meals for the day, which span cuisine pastimes from all the regions under the Alliance, from the piquant stews of the Azim Steppe to the laid-back simplicity of Black Shroud fare, the orders are made, the gil is deducted and the meals are prepared by an enlisted staff of culinarians, some of whom work for the Skybuilders.

The meals are then imbued with fire crystals to keep them hot and fresh, then are handed to rolling waves of runners, many of whom are starting their adventuring careers. The runners then deliver the meals to the patrons, and this happens every day. Reviews of the meals from HeavensGrub have been relatively positive. One gormandizer, from Rolanberry Fields (the orphanage and school), said, "I eat like the rich people in the Pillars now! I have never eaten a tempura platter but it is so crunchy and delicious! I want to order more! This is the life! Thank you HeavensGrub!"

Gibrillont said on the success of HeavensGrub, "No Ishgardian should be freezing or starving. With the people of the Firmament working hard to earn their meals and enjoying proper nourishment to get them ready for the next challenge, we think we have us a winner. Hopefully, other hub cities will consider making food delivery via tomestone a new tradition and part of the new normal that we are spearheading."

Indeed, other food delivery services in the hub cities are being planned, such as SeaDash (Limsa Lominsa), Ul'dahEats (Ul'dah), ShrouDash (Gridania), DomaEats (Doma/Othard), GriffinMates (Ala Mhigo/Rhalgr's Reach), GobHub (Idyllshire/Dravania) and KTG - KuganeToGo (Kugane/Hingashi). This is something everyone should take advantage of. Now I want to order from KTG, since I live in Shirogane. I am starving.
