So, tomorrow is the start of the new relic quests for the Shadowbringers relic weapon and the big question is, are you going to bother doing it?
Some will say, "of COURSE Annabel, they are powerful and glowy! Why WOULDN'T I do it?"
Others will say, "I don't know, it's AWFULLY long and grindy and takes FOREVER!"
And some will say, "Eh, it's something to do since I am BORED with the game!"
As for me, I will see if it interests me or not.
Honestly with spring here, this is coming out at a REALLY bad time. I am simply too busy with real life stuff to be messing with mindless grinding over and over right now. Yeah, I know with the isolation and all many people have a ton of time on their hands with little to do, but I am not one of them. Owning property, there are many, many things with both the house and the yard, ESPECIALLY the VERY big yard, that need to be done in the springtime and that leaves me little time to mess with the game.
So I will dabble with it a little to see how they are doing it this time and if it interests me at all. I doubt it will be as fun as Eureka was, (and it WAS fun people!), if they are just doing typical overworld and dungeon/instance grinding for stupid lists of stuff that take FOREVER to complete.
I will do all because I'm insatiable with relics!
I have 8 relics of Stormblood done, 7 to come, but they will wait for me to start one or two of the new relics.
What is clearly missing in the game is a place to store all of them... They entirely fill one of my retainers atm, not speaking about the glamour steps of them I put in my glamour dresser.

I doubt I do it much, if the weapon is really appealing I'll probably do it here or there. I had heard a rumor its more solo based. Which I'm hoping cause with a baby its hard for me to play this due the fact I have to carve out my time around the babies schedule. So if its party oriented probably a hard no. If its more solo oriented yeah eventually I'll complete it. FF7 remake will take my priority atm.
Since I only resub every now and then, relic is just another glamour item for me. I still have unfinished HW relic and have not done a single SB relic yet...
I guess my answer is no. Hopefuy I can just craft a replica of it one day :p
I already have quite few glowing weapons, it just depends if they look decent and if they have nice particle effects.
I might wait until someone uploads a video with all the weapons before deciding whether to grind for a particular weapon or not.
That's quite a good pint Ryoko. I really like the final Eureka WHM relic, so I am not really in it for the glamour. But I DO want a high statted weapon for my main job, so THAT will be my main motivation if I do it or not.
But I am worried about what Panda Delete said about it being a solo experience. I mean WHAT the hell would they have you DO for hours and hours that is solo only and NOT be a brain dead experience?

Oh and.. starting with today, Eureka will prolly disappear from most level 80 players' minds altogether. Or it's just literally grinded into oblivion with the new relic quests.
Let's see... I'm currently in a mood where I'm again expecting a high degree of ppl going pissy cuz we're blocking their relic progress. *shrugs*
Sorry to sound melanchoholic rn but there's rarely a day I can't think about X ppl going pissy about Y because Z person just delayed obtaining their items 5 seconds later than planned.
We'll all get our upgraded relics eventually (as patience a virtue), completion time or the level of grindyness shouldnt be a reason to go prissy towards other players participating.
I dearly hope people learned to behave in level 80 content...
