The campaign just ended last night, and as with previous events, there's tons of stuff I've done while submerging myself in it, mainly grinding my RDM from level 74 to cap. There's also things happened midway as well:
* Ppl in linkshell kept mentioning Rudra WS for THF so much, caught my interest, and decide to get this as well. It took me around 3-4 days soloing Walk of Echoes since the mats for it, 100 devious die & 100 liminal residue, cost total of 4 million gils.
* And even mid of that, another LS master caught what I'm doing and decide to help me properly gearing me up since I'm not even i119 overall yet. Several rounds of Ambuscade and at least my THF got into proper i119 with decent accuracies for tacking future content.
* Finally able to finish getting the other 3 AA trusts from Records of Eminence (RoE). This brings me in total of 9 trust NPC left to get, which I'll note in the end of this blog for reminder as well.
* Also with i119, was able to finally tackle RoE's intermediate section all the way to the last one, which is Alluvion Skirmish for Yorcia which I was unable to clear for now, being the content has tower of defense type that I've yet to understand.
* Got tons of REM chapters from RoE intermediate, and finally my Rune Fencer AF are properly in all their i119 +1 glory.
* Also, with someone mentioning that Voidwatch are now easily soloable with helps of so called "cheat" items one can buy & stock up at Jugner Forest, I finally able to clear my Jeuno tier 2 all the way to tier 6 and just before last one, Provenance Watcher, which someone advice to not attempt on solo, plus I'm still 2/3 on KI requirement to access the battle itself.
* LS master also invited me joining this Omen content for 1st time. Totally clueless, but at least I got few upgrade mats for my future RUN's AF+2/+3.
* Someone also ask for Delve clear, which I joined and a bit clueless till later realizing that I never beat final NM even tho I joined alliance raids for these in past. Thanks to that, I finally able to access the option for +2/+3 upgrade from this Oboro NPC.
* As for my really taxing Mog garden rank grinds, was finally able to bring all 5 plots to rank 6. Just a little step closer to max rank, which is 7, hopefully. Monster rearing still... unfortunately rank 2 since I unlocked it really late. Why I bother? 'case Ygnas & Chacharoon trust NPC locked behind these content. -_-
* Tried the silver voucher lucky draw thingie. Probably need to focus on this later on. Had to revisit old battle content such as besieges & campaigns since RoE related to those silver vouchers as well.
* Spent about entire day grinding my capped accolades & got i119 mage pants from it and upgraded to +1 as well, solo spamming on Intuila, midway learning proper trust setup I use, which is August/Lilisette/Selh'teus/Cherukiki/Koru-Moru.
Even after the time deadline of this free login campaign already went past it, I was still able to start grinding my BRD from fresh till all the way to level 32 before the game decide to boot me for real from Vana'diel. Oh well... next time I guess... ;)
Another amusing story related to FF14 btw: was telling LS mate that I was able to do all my weekly stuff in less than 12 hours to much of their disbelief, this started when someone saying one of LS member about to do some roulettes for their weekly tomes. All I did was finishing my bingo by just doing EX primals (luckily no shuffling since already got 2 liners & only need to use retry 1x), custom deliveries crafting/gathering, reprocess my jumbo cackpot, do normal A9-12, & just spend rest of hours in Eureka Pyros getting capped weekly tomes real fast. And even I also spare few minutes spamming 20 crafting leves since I'm also working on that gillionaire achievements as well. All of that, in just less than 12 hours, so that I could spend more time in FFXI. Was laughing when someone commented that something is wrong with FF14 if I could finish all that in less than 12 hours. Nay... that's even less than 9 hours total, since there's 3 hours midway where I have to travel home & had my dinner. lol
So... my to do list for next time:
- Getting RDM/BLM spell I've yet have: Blizzard IV & Frazzle II.
- Grinding BRD to cap, since I'm missing the proper buff/debuff job for it.
- Trust that I hopefully complete. There's 9 left: 6 from winter/summer event according to wiki in which for some reason haven't occured same time with free login campaign (Gilgamesh, Kayeel-Payeel, Kukki-Chebukki, Leonoyne, Margret, Maximilian), 2 from working on Adoulin's golden cordon KI (Chacharoon & Ygnas), & Rosulatia (either from RoE post AA trusts or getting another chance doing more Sinister Reign).
- Learning rest of BRD songs. Was just getting lvl 25's Mage Ballad from AH and about to use it when the game immediately booted me. lol
- And of course, grinding BRD level & skills to max. I've yet to learn how the proper skilling goes since the job itself does requires at least 2 different intrument, flute & harp.
- When doing Rudra WS for THF, I also got reminded on this MNK abyssea WS that I also started years ago that I've yet finished. Still on devious die steps.
- Hopefully able to finish VW properly. There's also CoP & ToAU VW I've yet touched as well. Need to lookout for special VW event where lights already capped & thus giving players chances to obtain max loot, and KIs for me such as atmacites. Big reminder if gonna redo Jeuno VW though: iirc one of T3 NM requires facing away to avoid insta-death spell, and one of T6 at Fort Karugo-Narugo (S) will cast very quick Doom around 50% health, needing much faster trust DPS.
- Maybe getting some THF's TH+ gears for much easier farming.
- Hopefully getting more Omen runs, a must requirement to get my RUN AF +2/+3.
- Also with my RUN mythic wep, this free login was barely able to secure HP-bayld necessary for it. ^^;
- some other stuff I've yet finished from my active sub days years ago, mostly on abyssea/dynamis stuff.
