Note: I find myself wanting to express my opinions on several topics and I think this is the place to be. My opinions are personal thoughts (and are not a critique), which I am not claiming to be right nor wrong. I am not expecting comments, otherwise I would have went to the official forum. In the event that there would be, I honor and respect everybody else’s opinion, though I’d prefer a healthy conversation over that of a heated debate.
Some Current Opinion(s):
Some FFXIV players believe that there is no need for limited jobs, that said jobs should be full-time jobs. Some went as far as saying these jobs are actually side content. On the other side, there are players too who don’t have any problems with limited jobs, up to the point of enjoying the current one - which is blue mage.
Rasler’s Opinion:
I think there shouldn’t be any limited jobs. A job should be implemented as a full one equal to all the others and that the developers should find a way to do so, even if it means a different interpretation than from the other FF games.
I do however think them as a job and not as a side content. So long as people can use it to do duties then they are a job. I have to admit though that since I only level them up and gather blue mage spells, and that I don’t use them for duties, they do feel like a side content.
I am one of those players that did not actually wished for the Blue Mage. Following my initial paragraph above, I am one of those players who believes it should have been implemented as a full time job. The explanation that the developers cannot find a way to make it a full time job while staying true to the nature of the blue mage job as used in the Final Fantasy series to be something incomprehensible. There were good suggestions provided by the player base for full implementation. The development team has been acquiescing in some of the other player requests and I’m not sure why this one didn’t get through.
