So, last night, totally on a whim, I fired up some FF XIV and played a little bit of PvP, which doesn't require an ilvl gear grind. Still a good trip down Memory Lane, even though I got totally lost lol.
And I also started watching a
God of War 3 speedrun this morning, a playthrough I used to watch a lot back in the 2010s. It popped up on my YouTube recommendations, so I figured "Why not?". Good stuff (the Poseidon boss fight still has me going "Whoa......" to this day), although the big timer overlay on the right can get pretty annoying.
And today's stream was a double-header stream, starting with Gems of War. Played it for a couple of hours, until I completed my weekly PvP runs. Then I switched on over to Pinball, where I played for a couple more hours. Like yesterday, it started out great. I beat a few FX3 tournaments. But after that, it all went sideways, placing low in the rest of the tourneys I entered. And Pinball Arcade sucked ass as well, not really being able to get anything going. But eventually I was getting drowsy (bad sleep), so I decided to just end the session, no Zaccaria Pinball or anything.
But one big event that definitely happened though:
skullface33101 dropped by. Good to see him! Been a while. Anyway, we talked about politics - something I don't mind doing during a stream, as long as it isn't too distracting and as long as we can agree to disagree - most of the session before he had to go. And I wasn't far behind either, leaving shortly after he did lol.
And later on this evening, kinda inspired after playing the
Pinball table of the same name during my stream, I started watching
Last Action Hero, with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Brilliant movie (Picture the phrase "...lives in a movie." being an actual movie lol), although it started out pretty slow.
LOVE all the celeb cameos (Sharon Stone and Robert Patrick - ie. the T-1000 from Terminator 2 - first come to mind) and film trope nods, of which there are many. One of few movies that I've watched from beginning to end!
Oh, aaaand kept on watching more of the God of War 3 speedrun (see above) as well.

A below average Pinball Session today. FX3 went pretty good at first, beating a couple tourneys. But then, not doing so hot on all the others. And Pinball Arcade, kinda the same thing. Started out good, but then started playing total ass. So much so, that I went straight to Zaccaria where, not surprisingly, I actually did better. All that, despite the fact that most of the tables are basically Pachinko machines w/ flippers.
I also found out that on Zaccaria's
easy arcade mode, tilting the table is turned off (otherwise it basically works like FX3's tilt system, 3 strikes and your out), so I can nudge the table to my heart's content and actually have better control of the ball. On FX3, you can basically nudge the table twice, tilting the table on the third time. Pinball Arcade is more lenient. You're okay as long as you don't nudge twice in succession (still end up tilting anyways lol). So I might more readily play Zaccaria now if I can't seem to do anything on Pinball Arcade after learning this.
