This evening it was Grim Dawn
again, working on the act 3 storyline on my reaper
I also, for the first time ever, tried out The Crucible, Grim Dawn's version of Diablo 3's rifts. I kinda like it, even though you can't exactly stop at any time (you have to complete 10 waves of enemies at a time in order to catch a break in the action). I thought I'd create a new character just for the sole purpose of running it. Didn't go so well..... Kinda anticlimactic. The game might as well just say "Cleanup on aisle 5!" :|>
But I also brought in some of my other characters and tried it out too, but they were too slow (you get a stacking bonus multiplier the faster you kill waves, so speed is your friend). It seems my reaper
are best suited for running this.
Oh, and for those that don't really know how classes work in this game, I'll try to give FF XIV equivalents:

And the vinyls that I played today were:
The White Stripes - Self-Titled Debut
Django Reinhardt - First Recordings
Frank Zappa - Ship Arriving Too Late to Save a Drowning Witch
Jethro Tull - Benefit
Prince - Self-Titled Second AlbumFriday
For the FF XIV
stream I worked on my bard, running hunts and Pixie beast tribe quests. I also did a leveling roulette and got Holminster Switch, with another big-pulling tank (although considering you can run a trust version of this dungeon over and over again I'm not surprised). But, like what happens most of the time, the tank ends up dying in the process, in this case, several times
! I ended up feeling bad for the healer, having gone through this myself when leveling my scholar. I think healer said something like "Hey, did you just now turn your tank stance on?"
. And the tank said "It's been on since the start of this dungeon."
Translation: "Nah, you just suck." Props to the healer for sticking this one out. I'd have been gone after his second death, lacking the patience to deal with it.
Buuut anyway... Oh, and my bard reached level 74 too..... After all that I started up some Grim Dawn
, just working on the Act 3 storyline on my reaper
, and up until the end of of the stream I was beaming with pride, thinking I'm so OP that:
Monsters die just by attacking me. I can just stand there and they all die right before me. Come to find out at the end of the stream that my "veteran" mode, that makes monsters tougher all-around, was turned off, presumably because I ran The Crucible on this guy and then came back to regular campaign mode, where the game just switches to regular by default. Oh well. Good to know for next time.
Here's the vinyls I played this evening:
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
The Golden Era of Dixieland Jazz, 1887-1937
The Moody Blues - On the Threshold of a Dream
Fanny - Self-Titled Debut
Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones
Okay, time to call it a night. <Take care.>
