FINAL FANTASY XIV Hotfixes (Sep. 17, 2026)
■ To prevent players from unintentionally entering The Crucible of the Unbroken with equipment below the intended item level, an average item level requirement has been added to participation requirements.
The required average item level for each board is as follows:
First Board of the Unbroken: Average item level 25+
Second Board of the Unbroken: Average item level 35+
Third Board of the Unbroken: Average item level 82+
First Master's Board: Average item level 82+
Second Master's Board: Average item level 82+
■ The following issues have been addressed:
• In the duty The Crucible of the Unbroken, an incorrect message was displayed when attempting to enter with a familiar below the recommended beast rank.
• In the duty The Crucible of the Unbroken, the barrier mechanic created when bosses in the Third Board of the Unbroken and Second Master's Board executed Deadly Demesne could be bypassed in certain situations.
• In the duty The Crucible of the Unbroken, damage would sometimes not be dealt when struck by Burst, an action used by the Mogsong Sphere in the Second Master's Board.
• In the duty The Crucible of the Unbroken, the enemy Carrion Broth could appear with reduced HP during the battle against Morbol Piece in the First Master's Board.
• In the duty The Crucible of the Unbroken, certain mechanic attacks could be avoided through specific actions while afflicted with Bind during the battle against Administrator Piece in the First Master's Board.
• In the duty The Crucible of the Unbroken, the sound effect played when a familiar gained beast EXP would sometimes continue playing on the results screen after completing the duty.
• In the duty The Crucible of the Unbroken, enemy attacks could be negated by using Parting Blow or Final Sting just as an enemy attack landed while under the effect of Cover granted by the duty action Snarl.
To address this issue, Cover is now removed slightly earlier when executing Parting Blow or Final Sting.
• In the duty The Crucible of the Unbroken, leaving the duty while under the effect of the One with Nature status obtained from the Beastmaster action Borrow could cause it to remain indefinitely, despite no familiar being summoned.
• In the duty The Crucible of the Unbroken, the help text for the duty action Snarl was missing the following information:
Duration: 15s
Additional Effect: Removes Enmity Up
• The New/Preferred World EXP bonus was not applied to Beastmaster.
• Defeating Geshunpest in the Central Shroud did not grant experience points.
• Certain text in the main scenario quest "A Rush of Cold Wind" was incorrect.
• Graphics in a cutscene during the main scenario quest "The World Locked in Ice" were not displayed correctly in some cases.
• The animation for the samurai action Shoha would not display correctly when used by male Roegadyn or male Hrothgar characters.
• The credited voice actors for the following characters were incorrect in the Patch 7.56 staff credits for FINAL FANTASY XIV: Dawntrail:
- Honey B. Lovely (English, French, and German)
- Brute Bomber (English, French, and German)
- Wicked Thunder (English, French, and German)
- Dancing Green (English)
• The icon for a macro using the Beastmaster action Trick with the text command "/macroicon" was not displayed correctly on hotbars or cross hotbars.
• The icon for the Beastmaster action Trick was not displayed correctly when assigned to the Command Panel.
• The game could fail to close properly when exiting immediately after purchasing an item from the market board.
• Fixed an issue that could lead to a World crashing in rare cases, due to a Data Centre Travel or World Visit happening simultaneously with other processes.
